About Ms. SlavinLindsey Slavin is a proud native Houstonian. She received her BFA in Sculpture from the University of Houston Honors College, with minors in Art History, Interdisciplinary Art, and Creative Work. She is a graduate of the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She also attended The Rice School/La Escuela Rice and Roberts Elementary. Her artwork has been displayed at various galleries throughout Houston. Slavin has previously taught at the Young Artist Apprenticeship Program at Blaffer Art Museum, Albright Middle School in Alief ISD, and currently at Pin Oak Middle School in Houston ISD. When she isn't teaching, she likes to travel, dance, and eat -- sometimes all at once.
